If it's stability you're after then this is the timber for you.
This particular oak, specially sourced, is manufactured by a mild pyrolysis under an inert atmosphere to prevent combustion.
After this treatment the timber shows vastly improved stability characteristics and exhibits little or no movement.

The boards we are offering are calibrated to 23mm thick x 155mm x 2400mm.

PLEASE NOTE Calibrated is not the same as planed all round, it is fast pre-plane to bring the timber to a regular size and allows an extra 4mm in thickness for final planing and straightening.

The photograph shows how the process darkens the timber from oak's normal honey colour and the centre board has been given a coat of oil to show its final deep lustre.
